Consultation and Expert Services

Forensic Accounting Engagements

Our services are generally covered under fixed fee arrangements. Depending on the size and scope of the engagement and after we have examined the available documentation, we will provide the client with a fixed fee. However, work on the project will not begin until the client has agreed to the scope of work and corresponding fees.

Our retainer ranges between $1,500 to $5,000 and will be determined by the size and estimated time required for the engagement. Typically, we require a deposit of 50% of the project fee prior to beginning work with the balance due in full before any report is provided to the retaining client or attorney. For engagements with shorter deadlines or unusual circumstances we may require the entire fee prior to beginning any work.

As almost all of our forensic engagements are under fixed fee arrangements; however, if you need services billed on an hourly basis they are as follows:

  • CPA and Certified Forensic services - $100 to $200 per hour
  • Consultation - $200 flat fee

Our consultation usually involves both the attorney and client in the litigation or fraud matter. It is important to understand the case, the issues involved and determine the specific services needed and how our financial analysis or expert consultation may assist in the case. Once determined, we will make our recommendations regarding the services and corresponding fees for the engagement.
